NEW Hair Styles
The best way to check out the latest hairstyles and new cuts, is to look on the runway as well as the realway.
Look at the latest catwalk close-ups and see how
celebrities are styling their hair!
Pick up a fashion magazine and leaf through to find some classy, up-to-date looks. Be radical, cut out a photo
you like and take it to your hairdresser. There's no quicker way to looking good than being brave and taking
risks.
Some of the latest, most trendiest hairstyles are actually vintage hair looks. As always, trends come back around, and it's no different with hair. Style
is returning to a more classic, chic look, reminiscent of the glamourous fifties. Big rollered hair is back with a
vengeance as are big curly bobs in the style of Marilyn Monroe.
Latest Hair Styles
- Braids or Plaits - Be adventurous and experimental with the type of plaits you create. Twist
them, wrap them and pin them in different directions. Try a french braid, mermaid braid, milkmaid/heidi braids
or a fishtail braid. Try different sizes and start in different places, wrap it into a chignon, or pin it like
an alice band. One of our favorite new hair styles is definitely the big side plait, as seen on the PPQ
catwalk.
- Beach Waves - Keep a spritzer of salt water near you at all times to recreate this look.
Sleep on damp hair if you hair has a natural wave, or if it's naturally curly or straight sleep in french
braids to create a beautiful wave the next day. Keep them looking beachy, by messing and teasing them a little
bit.
- Big Curls - Returning to a 70s inspired volume, big and sleek hair is super sexy this season.
Blow dry hair round a big barrelled brush and tong any strays. Or pop in your heated rollers at breakfast time
so they are ready to remove before you leave and reveal gorgeous big curls.
The New Haircuts
Short, sharp bobs are elegant and slightly retro. Vintage inspired haircuts have longevity and timeless
elegance. Dating back to women's liberation and the 1920s this look is not for the faint of heart.
The long bob has been seen on Gwyneth Paltrow, Rihanna and Jessica Simpson. It is a very wearable cut and can be
worn either straight or curly. It's still long enough to be pinned back and pulled up into a ponytail.
Block fringes are definitely still in style thanks to Zooey Deschanel's hairstyle. Fringes look good both messy
and straightened this season, and it's a quick way to update any length of hair.
The New Hair Styles Accessories
A detailed alice band is still very fashionable, and very Gossip Girl. Find one that you like, whether
its plastic, fabric or elastic, and wear it with your usual everyday look for a pop of added glamour.
Find some pretty hair ties for the end of your braids this season, and some cute grips to keep curls under
control. Pop to your favorite jewellers for something sparkly.
